Deborah is Board Director Emeritus at the Open Source Initiative, where she served for eight years, and heads the open source program office at Red Hat. Her years of involvement in start-ups and emerging technologies in Oregon led her to a passion for open source. She spent a decade in government and was Deputy CIO for the State of Oregon. Today she serves on numerous boards including the Open Source Initiative, the Eclipse Foundation, DemocracyLab, and the Open Source Elections Technology (OSET) Foundation.
