Earlier this year, Tidelift completed its first ever survey of open source maintainers. Nearly 400 maintainers responded with thoughts about how they fund their work, what they enjoy about being a maintainer, what they don’t like so much, along with a host of other interesting insights. In this panel, Tidelift’s Brenna Heaps invites some of her maintainer friends to discuss key findings from the survey.
Alex Clark is President and co-founder of ACLARKNET LLC and maintainer of Pillow.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Loyola University in Maryland and has worked as a Network Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Administrator and Technical Team Leader since May 1998.
He is also President & Executive Director of DC Python, a non-profit organization he co-founded to promote and support the use of Python software in DC.
